Claire Reid

Claire Reid is 24 years old when the story begins.  She stands five feet five and is of small stature.  She has long brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was born and raised in Stuart Cove, Connecticut.  She has an extraordinary interest in nautical history, especially lighthouses.  Following this interest she volunteers as a tour guide at the Stone Ridge Lighthouse.  Like her father,  she works for the U.S. Coast Guard; while also attending college part time.  She lives with a roommate, her friend Kay, in a small home about eight miles from town.

Claire is a caring and trusting young women, at times she is slightly insecure, but she knows what she wants and that determination gives her strength.
