  1. Pride & Prejudice - I do not have a lot to say about this book. I thought I would enjoy it more than I did – In my opinion it was a early 19th century soap opera. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, but not what I expected (not sure what I expected though). Of course the writing was excellent and I’m glad I read it – trying to get to many of the classics.

  2. A Flower Blooms on Charlotte Street - This was a cute little story. It was not fast paced and exciting, just a nice story about a period of time in the life of a young girl in the late 1800′s. She was an exceptional young lady, very brave and polite. She had hardships in her family but did all she could to make the grownups in her life proud. I believe this is a series based on a real person, don’t think I’ll be reading the other books though.

  3. Murder is Binding - I enjoyed this book. I had already read #2 of this series. I’d put it in the category of a good book to read while sitting in a comfortable reading chair, a cup of tea on a rainy day. Or while ….fill in the blank. It is a murder mystery which involves books and book stores – how great is that! I do plan to read “Bookplate Special” also by Lorna Barrett.

  4. Washington Weirdos - This is the second book in a series, I’d have to say I liked the first book better, but this one did keep my interest and I found I wanted to continue with following the story. Apparently there is also a third book – I may get that one as well.
